The Stuttgart Container Terminal was built in 1996 for ecological and economical reasons in order to bundle the growing influx of goods arriving in the region. The figures show the high level of acceptance of this means of transport, which is by far the most ecological alternative: since it was opened, the freight handled here has increased more than tenfold. Now, the container handling of the SCT Stuttgart Container Terminal GmbH is carried out on a total area of 30,000m², using its own river barges and trains, as well as heavy-goods vehicles, is annually more than 100,000 TEU.
As a modern, service-oriented business, SCT offers perfectly organised logistics, which meet the standards of modern transport technology
